Cambridge Face Memory Test

This is a test of your ability to recognize unfamiliar faces. While anyone can take this test, it was created as a way for people to assess whether or not they have face recognition difficulties.

While doing badly on this test does not mean that you have face recognition impairments, it can be an indicator of poor face memory. Likewise, doing well on this test does not rule out face recognition difficulties.

If you experience problems while taking this test, please make sure that you have javascript enabled and/or are running a relatively up-to-date version of your web browser. Since slow connection speeds will also interfere with this test, using a dial-up internet connection to take this test is not recommended.

Please maximize your browser window before you begin. Be sure you have at least 20 minutes and a quiet environment. Please do not stop or take breaks during the test, as your results will not be valid. Finally, we ask you not to use any outside memory aids (such as taking notes) while taking this test.
